Zombies of Ganymede40K3 conversion by Tom and Erik Setzer; Based on 40K2 background and rules by Mike Freeman This, like a lot of other stuff I write about, is based on some little hints in the Codex Imperialis. Supposedly, there was this planet called Ganymede, and some Adeptus guys were working on a warp-coil warp space engine. Unfortunately, something went way wrong, and now it's blocked off from Imperium. Ganymede Zombies are the weirdly terrifying minions of Chaos, near human, but wholly inhuman. They never wanted to serve the minions of Chaos, yet because of a terrible accident, they are eternally linked to the sinister Chaos gods. Once Ganymede was a peacefull planet, heavily populated and used for Imperial military testing. This led to the attempt to create the warp-coil techonology. Unfortunately, something went horribly wrong during the testing, and it resulted in a huge wave of warp energy which contaminated the entire populace. This had terrible effects on the inhabitants, as they became linked to the foul chaos gods, thus they could be controlled by a whim. The Imperium tried to viral bomb the planet, but unfortunately, the virus had no effect. The warp energy still lingers, and this is why Ganymede is guarded so closely. The once-human inhabitants of Ganymede are now mindless zombies, who feel no pain and have only a darkly induces hunger for human flesh. These troops are controlled by the foul Gods of Chaos, and they may be chosen for your Chaos Army.
Squad: A squad of Ganymede Zombies can consist of any amount of models Weapons: Clubs, teeth and a taste for flesh Special: No Brain:Ganymede Zombies have no brain. Thus they cannot be harmed at things that target the mind, such as Mind War, etc. They also are immune to pychology, and never have to take a break test. Flesh Lust: The Zombies don't really want to fight, but are driven by there hunger. They have no follow-up moves in hand-to-hand combat if they win, as if the model is killed, they start to eat them. |
