Traitor Assassins were once Imperial Assassins in the time before the Horus Heresy. In the time the Assassin Temple had not yet been founded and Assassins were trained for a much broader range of duties. During the heresy some of the Assassins turned against the Imperium and some even pledged their souls to the Chaos Gods. The have survived for more than ten millennia in the warp and continue to support attacks on the Imperium to this day with their deadly skills.
Weapons: Sniper Rifle, Power Weapon, Melta Bombs
Options: The Traitor Assassin may have a Mark of Chaos.
Assassins with a Mark of Khorne may take Chaos Gifts from the following list: Axe of
Khorne at +20 pts and/or Collar of Khorne at +30 pts.
Assassins with a Mark of Nurgle may take Chaos Gifts from the following list: Blight
Grenades at +15 pts, Nurgles Rot at +10 pts, Plague Knife at +5 pts and/or Plague
Sword at +25 pts.
Assassins with a Mark of Slaanesh may take Chaos Gifts from the following list: Doom Siren
at +15 pts.
Assassins with a Mark of Tzeentch may take Chaos Gifts from the following list: Talisman
of Tzeentch at +5 pts and/or Psychic Power Flames of Tzeentch at +30 pts.
Assassins with a Mark of Chaos Undivided may not take any additional Chaos Gifts.
SPECIAL
RULES Infiltrators: In the right circumstances Assassins have the ability to work their way into a forward position on the battlefield. To represent this they may set up using the Infiltrators rule, but only if the mission allows Infiltrators to be used. If the mission does not allow troops to use the Infiltrators rule then the Assassin must be set up normally with the rest of the army. Fearless: Traitor Assassins are implacable foes and automatically pass all Morale checks. Individual: Traitor Assassins operate as individuals on the battlefield. They may not join or lead squads. Dodge: Traitor Assassins have lightning fast reactions and are able to leap out of the way of enemy attacks. To represent this they have an Invulnerable saving throw of 4+. |
