Painting Nurgle Troops

For Nurgle Plague Marines:

Scorpion Green, washed with Goblin Green, and highlighted with Billous Green makes a good base colour, and for rotten flesh areas I like to use Bleached Bone shaded with Vomit Brown and highlighted with Rotting Flesh and then take a mixture of Red, Purple, and Green Ink that you have watered down very thin and give a very thin wash to the rotten areas. This gives it a very sick look.

To paint pustules, start with Bleached Bone that's had a touch of Tentacle Pink added at the base, then paint the higher area with a combination of Rotting Flesh with just a touch of Tentacle Pink, then drybrush the very tip with either Scab Red or with Billous Green to give a pus effect.  You can also use Billous Green and Bleached Bone mixed to make pus running down from the sores.  If you want an even sicker look, carefully wash this with a very thin mix of Green Ink and Rotting Flesh, making sure to only cover the areas of the pus running from the pustule, it gives an open sore look.

To paint internal organs and intestines, first paint them with Tentacle Pink, and then wash with a very thin wash of Red Gore, then highlight with a mix of Tentacle Pink and Rotting Flesh.

To paint the raw flesh on the inside of open wounds, first paint the area with Red Gore, then shadow with Nauseating Blue and highlight with Warlock Purple.

For Nuglings:

Use Goblin Green with Camo Green for shading, and Billous Green that has had a touch of Camo Green added to it for highlighting. Do the pustules and rotten flesh areas as above for the Nurgle Plague Marines.

For Plague Bearers:

Start with Vomit Brown base, shadow with Bestial Brown, then highlight with a Rotting Flesh that has had a touch of Vomit Brown added to it, paint in the pustules and rotting flesh as above, then wash the whole figure with the Sickly Wash of Red, Purple, and Green Ink.

Paint in your details to suit however you want them, but all weapons should have a rusty, dirty look, you can achieve this by drybrushing the weapons with Chestnut Wash and Scab Red.
