After watching a marathon of anime (to include the first series of Robotech), I came upon a truly vicious rule to add some twist to BFG.
Ordnance launch during the movement phase:
-After moving the minimum distance, a ship equipped with ordanance may elect to fire them at any further point in their movement. The markers are placed on the board, and not resolved until the ordnance phase.
-for example, an infidel can fire torpedoes, turn 45 degrees, and move 30 cm. An Overlord could move 10cm, launch torpedoes, turn 45 degrees and move its remaining distance. Worse, Eldar could launch torpedoes, spin in a circle, and retreat 180 degrees from the way the torpedoes moved.
This allows a ship to fire its front arced Torpedoes, then maneuver the target into its side arcs for a jolly rodgering...
