+++BATTLEFLEET GOTHIC+++
Imperial Bombardment Barge
This ship was inspired by stories told by an old friend of my Father. He signed up
(at the age of 15) in England and became crew on one of the Rocket Barges used to attck
German positions on the beaches during D-Day.
It occured to me that the Imperium would need something similar to try and knock
down planetary defences before an Invasion. I've come up with two versions, the Sherif
Class Cruiser and the Sultan Class Battlecruiser. Any comments welcome.
NOTE: I've tried to point this thing according to rough guestimates on what the
different weapon system are worth. I'm going to try and playtest it this weekend and will
probably adjust its price after that.

NOTES: This ship is built for bombarding
static orbital defences from a distance and its Torpedo launchers are a simple a reliable
design. Therefore only the Prow launchers may use special Torpedo types. Also this craft
is something of an Ammo Hog. Every time you try to reload you reduce your Leadership by 1
for the purposes of Reload Ordinance special orders. (e.g. The Yeoman has a LD of 7. The
first time you try and reload you roll against 7. The second time you roll against 6, the
third time 5 and so on.) |
