COMBAT SQUADS

Combat Squads form the main portion of a Squat Brotherhood army.  They are armed with lasguns and move around the battlefield, picking out targets and firing upon them with massed lasfire.

Squad: A Squad consists of 1 Leader and between 4 and 9 Troopers.

Weapons: The Troopers are armed with lasguns.   The Leader is armed witha  laspistol, close combat weapon, and comm-link.

Options: The entire squad may be given frag grenades at a cost of +1 point per model or krak grenades at a cost of +2 points per model.

Up to one Troopers may be armed with: plasma gun at +6 points; meltagun at +6 points; a grenade launcher at +8 points.

Up to one Trooper may be armed with: a heavy bolter at +10 points; a heavy stubber at +5 points; a missile launcher at +10 points; or a lascannon at +10 points.

The Leader is allowed to have equipment from the Armoury.

Transport:  The squad may be mounted in a Rhino at +50 points or a Termite for +90 points.  See the end of the Troops section for details for the Rhino and Termite.

 

ASSAULT SQUADS

Assault Squads perform an assault role on the battlefield, moving forward and engaging their enemy in hand to hand, one on one combat.  They are envied by many of the other Squats, who see hand to hand combat as the only way to fight.

Squad: A Squad consists of 1 Leader and between 4 and 9 Troopers.

Weapons: The Troopers are armed with laspistols and close combat weapons.  The Leader is armed witha  laspistol, close combat weapon, and comm-link.

Options: The entire squad may be given frag grenades at a cost of +1 point per model, krak grenades at a cost of +2 points per model, or meltabombs at a cost of +5 points per model.

Up to two Troopers may be armed with: plasma gun at +6 points; meltagun at +6 points; a grenade launcher at +8 points.

The Leader is allowed to have equipment from the Armoury.

Transport:  The squad may be mounted in a Rhino at +50 points or a Termite for +90 points.  See the end of the Troops section for details for the Rhino and Termite.

 

TRANSPORT: RHINO

Options: The Rhino may be equipped with vehicle upgrades from the Squat Armoury.

Transport: The Rhino can carry up to ten models.

 

TRANSPORT: TERMITE

Weapons: The Termite is armed with a heavy bolter.

Options: The Termite may be equipped with vehicle upgrades from the Squat Armoury.

Transport: The Termite can carry up to ten models.

SPECIAL RULES

Tunneler:  The Termite tunnels through the ground and bursts up into the middle of an opposing army's battle line.  Because of this special ability, the Termite may Deep Strike in any mission, even those where the Deep Strike ability is not allowed.

Immobile:  The Termite is built for tunneling underground, not moving above ground.  It counts as Immobile unless you purchase Termite Maneuvering Thrusters.

TRANSPORTING TROOPS

Certain units in the Squat army may have a Rhino or Termite to transport them. Adding a Rhino or Immolator to a squad does not count as part of the squad and does not use up any of your choices on the Force Organisation chart.
