APPENDIX: THE ENGINEER'S GUILD

THE ENGINEERS GUILD

The Engineers Guild is made up of several travelling engineers who move constantly among the Home Worlds, from stronghold to stronghold, spreading knowledge and solving technical problems.  The Guild is dedicated to protecting its engineers, who have a tendency to find themselves in the middle of an inter-League war far from their own native stronghold.  The Engineers Guild have become a major power in Squat society, and stands out from the rest of Squat society with its less rigid structure.  The Engineers have developed somewhat of a culture of their own, including a new "technical language" for each of the Lodges.

The Engineers Guild holds itself outside of the allegiance of any one stronghold, and requires all of its members to renounce their own allegiances upon acceptance into the Guild.  This allows them to stay out of most inter-League wars.  Even though each Squat stronghold has an enclave of Guildmen, they are by no means held by any allegiance to the stronghold.

Using the Engineers Guild in a Squat Army

Using the Engineers Guild in a Squat army is as simple as looking through the list below, choosing what suits you, and adding it into your Squat army.  Each listing has a parentheses beside it in which the listing's force organization category is contained.  For example, a Guildmaster would count as an HQ choice, and a Guild Bike Squad would count as one of your Fast Attack choices.
