0-1 HEARTHGUARD

The Hearthguard are dedicated to protecting their Warlord and their stronghold.  They will fight to the death to make sure that no harm comes to their keep.

Squad: The retinue consists of between 3 and 5 Hearthguard.

Weapons: Hearthguard are armed with a laspistol and close combat weapon.

Options: Any member of the squad may replace his laspistol and close combat weapon with a lasgun at no extra cost, or a boltgun at +1 point per model.

Up to two models may be given a plasma gun or meltagun at +10 points each.

Hearthguard may be given Exo-Armour at +25 points per model.

The Leader is allowed to have equipment from the Armoury.

Transport:  The squad may be mounted in a Rhino at +50 points or a Termite for +90 points.  See the end of the Troops section for details for the Rhino and Termite.

Squat Brotherhoods sometimes use units of Robots to fight in battle alongside their Brothers.  These Robots are built by members of the Engineers Guild who have been working with the stronghold.

Squad: A Squad consists of between 3 and 5 Robots, all of which must be the same type.

Weapons:  The three different types of Robots are armed as follows:
Tactical Robots:  Boltgun and close combat weapon.
Assault Robots:  Plasma pistol and power weapon.
Heavy Attack:  Twin-linked heavy bolters and autocannon.

SPECIAL RULES

Programming:  Robots are given programming modules at the beginning of the battle, giving them a set of commands that they may follow.   Robots may only perform an action that is allowed by their programming.  Below is a list of the commands allowed by each Robot's programming:

Tactical Robots:
--Move 6" towards the nearest enemy model (not vehicle) and fire at it.
--Stand still and fire at the nearest enemy model.

Assault Robots:
--Move 6" towards the nearest enemy unit and assault it once in range.   The assault robot may fire its plasma pistol if its target is in range.

Heavy Attack Robots:
--Fire at the nearest enemy unit.
--Move 6" in any direction.  The robot may not fire that turn.

 

0-1 BERZERKER SQUADS

Squat Berzerkers are those who have dedicated themselves to fighting the enemies of the Squat race.  They are fanatic in their cause, throwing themselves upon those who would threaten their homes and rending them limb from limb in hand to hand combat.

Squad: A Squad consists of between 5 and 10 Berzerkers.

Weapons: The Berzerkers are armed with a laspistol and close combat weapon (usually an axe).

Options: The entire squad may be given frag grenades at a cost of +1 point per model, krak grenades at a cost of +2 points per model, or meltabombs at a cost of +5 points per model.

Up to two Berzerkers may be armed with a plasma pistol at a cost of +10 points per model.

Up to two Berzerkers may be armed with a power axe at a cost of +10 points per model.

Transport:  The squad may be mounted in a Rhino at +50 points or a Termite for +90 points.  See the end of the Troops section for details for the Rhino and Termite.

SPECIAL RULES

Fearless:  Squat Berzerkers are not afraid of anything.   They are completely and totally fearless, and so do not need to take any kind of Ld test for morale or pinning.
