The Slann Mage is the psychic leader of a Slann temple.   He oversees the management of the temple and watches its growth.  In times of war the Mage will come out of his temple and aid his forces as they do battle.

Options: Slann Mages may choose equipment from the Armoury.

SPECIAL RULES:

Cold Blooded

Independent Character: Unless accompanied by a Temple Guard Bodyguard, a Slann Mage is an Independent Character and follows all normal rules for Independent Characters from the Warhammer 40,00 Rulebook.

Shield of the Old Ones: The Slann, together with his hover-palanquin and bodyguard lie under a powerful Shield of the Old Ones - making it hard to harm either the Slann or his servants. To represent this the entire model has a special D6 saving throw of 4+ against each wound suffered. This is an unmodified save and is not modified by the Strength of the attack. Wounds from weapons or attacks that ignore armour saving throws can still be saved by the Shield of the Old Ones.

Psyker: Any Slann Mage character, including the Mage Chief, may take psychic powers chosen from the Armoury. The number of magic spells he has depends on the magic level.

The Warleaders lead the Slann armies into war, personally leading their warbands to victory.

Options: Slann Warleaders may choose equipment from the Armoury.

Each pyramid temple that is the residence of a Slann Priest is guarded by a picked unit of Saurus Temple Guards. These are the oldest and best of all the Saurans in the Slann's employ. They are given ceremonial bronze armour, and helmets made from dinosaur skulls, not only for protection, but to make them look all the more daunting and magnificent.

Warband: A warband consists of between 5 to 10 models.

Weapons: Slann Halberd.

Options: One in every five Saurans may be armed with one of the following: Graviton Gun +10 pts; Needler +10 pts; Webber +8 pts.

The entire warband may be armed with one or more of the following grenades: Frags at +1 pt per model; Kraks at +2 pts per model; Haywires at +4 pts per model.

Any Saurans may be given a Refractor field at +5 points per model.

Scaly Skin, Cold Blooded, Bite Attack
