The Slann Battlefield Technicians are responsible for keeping the Slann army functioning in times of war.  They move about the battlefield, repairing weapons and vehicles.

Options: Slann Mages may choose equipment from the Armoury.

SPECIAL RULES:

Cold Blooded

Independent Character: A Slann Battlefield Technician is an Independent Character and follows all normal rules for Independent Characters from the Warhammer 40,00 Rulebook.

Repair: A Slann Battlefield Technician may attempt to repair a single damaged hit location on a vehicle, or a destroyed support weapon or Robot, if he can reach it during his next movement phase. He can do nothing else during the turn - he cannot shoot or fight hand-to-hand combat while he is attempting a repair. At the end of the turn roll a D6.

D6 Result
5-6 Repair. The Slann Battlefield Technician succeeds in putting good all damage sustained in the previous turn.
3-4 Possible Repair. The damage is exstensive but the situation is not hopeless. The damage is not repaired this turn, but you may carry on working for a further turn if you wish. At the end of this further turn the damage will be repaired on a roll of 4+, while a score of 3 or less indicates that the damage is beyond repair. A Slann Battlefield Technician may do nothing else while attempting a repair.
1-2 Hopeless. The Slann Battlefield Technician can do nothing.

Great Crested Skinks are bred to be stronger and more ferocious than their lesser brothers.  Their large crest, which gives them their title, shows them to be one of the chosen of the gods.

Warband: A warband consists of between 5 to 20 models.

Weapons: Hand casters and close combat weapons.

Options: Any model may replace his hand caster and close combat weapon with a bolt caster at no additional points cost.

One in every five Skinks may be armed with one of the following: Graviton Gun +10 pts; Needler +10 pts; Webber +8 pts.

The entire warband may be armed with one or more of the following grenades: Frags at +1 pt per model; Kraks at +2 pts per model; Haywires at +4 pts per model.

Any Great Crested Skinks may be equipped with a Refractor field at +5 points.

Scaly Skin, Cold Blooded, Aquatic, Fleet of Foot

 

KROXIGORS

The Kroxigor are giant cousins of the Saurus. They are much bigger and more powerful creatures, but less intelligent, and their speach is limited to a blood-curdling roar. Kroxigor need to be goaded into activity by Slann, Saurus, or Skinks, and will obey their instructions diligently, showing that they understand rather more than might be thought from their appearance. In battle they swing huge axes.

Warband: A warband consists of between 3 to 10 models.

Weapons: Axe (close combat weapon).

Options: Any model may be armed with one of the following weapons: additional close combat weapon at +1 pt; Slann halberd at +25 pts; power weapon at +20 pts.

The entire warband may be armed with one or more of the following grenades: Frags at +1 pt per model; Kraks at +2 pts per model; Haywires at +4 pts per model.

SPECIAL RULES:

Scaly Skin, Cold Blooded, Aquatic

Cause Fear: Kroxigor are ferocious towering creatures with a blood-curdling roar. Models wishing to charge them must first pass a Ld test.   If they fail the test, they cannot assault the Kroxigor.  Models that are immune to psychology or are fearless are not affected by this.
