VETERAN SQUADS

These are the soldiers of the Imperial Guard armies who have fought successfully through many campaigns.

Squad: A squad consists of 5 to 10 Veteran Guardsmen. One of these will be the Sergeant.

Weapons: Lasgun, laspistol, and frag grenades. The sergeant has a laspistol, chainsword and frag grenades.

Armour: Flak (6+ save).

Wargear: The entire squad may be armed with krak grenades at a cost of +2 points per model.

You may replace the lasgun with a lasgun with Hotshot pack for +1 point per model. If you replace any lasguns, you must replace all lasguns. The sergeant may replace his laspistol with a Hotshot laspistol for +1 point.

Up to one model may have one of the following: flamer at +5 pts; meltagun at +10 pts; plasma gun at +8 pts; grenade launcher at +8 pts.

Two of the Guardsmen may be formed into a weapons team armed with one of the following heavy weapons: heavy bolter at +10; missile launcher at +15 points; lascannon at +20 points; autocannon at +15 points; a mortar at +15 points.    One model may be given a comm-link at +10 pts.

One model can have a comm-link at +5 pts.

Character: The Sergeant may be upgraded to a Veteran Sergeant at +10 points.  A Veteran Sergeant may choose extra equipment from the Armoury.

Chimera: The squad may include a Chimera for an additional +95 points, for details see the Chimera transport entry at the end of the Troops section.

 

RATSKIN SCOUTING PARTY

The Ratskins are the native inhabitants of the Underhive.   Some adventurous Ratskins hire out to Underhive gangs as guides or trackers and become semi-civilized as a result of this contact.  These are the Ratskins that are recruited into the Necromundan 8th 'Spiders' to work as Scouts and guides.

Squad: A Ratskin Scouting Party consists of a Chief, and nine Ratskins.

Weapons:
Chief: Hotshot laspistol, sword, and frag grenades.
Ratskins: Shotguns and frag grenades.

Wargear: The entire squad may be armed with frag grenades at a cost of +1 point per model, and/or krak grenades at a cost of +2 points per model.

Up to one model may have one of the following: flamer at +5 pts; meltagun at +10 pts; plasma gun at +8 pts; grenade launcher at +8 pts.

Any Ratskins may be given needle sniper rifles at +10 points per model.

Character: The Sergeant may be upgraded to a Veteran Sergeant at +10 points.  A Veteran Sergeant may choose extra equipment from the Armoury.

Chimera: The squad may include a Chimera for an additional +95 points, for details see the Chimera transport entry at the end of the Troops section.

SPECIAL RULES:

Infiltrators: Ratskins may deploy using the rules for Infiltrators as described in the Warhammer 40,000 rulebook.

Dispersed Formation: Ratskins may use a dispersed formation.  This allows them to have a squad coherency of 4" rather than the normal 2".
