These are the leaders of the individual Ming units on the battlefield. Ming-bashi are the leaders of the Ming armies.
Options: The Hero may choose equipment from the Armory.
Transport: If a Bodyguard is taken, then they and the Hero may ride in a Pantera (see the entries in the Troops section).
The Bodyguard is made up of the most loyal Goshan fighters who will give their lives to protect the Ming leaders.
Squad: A Bodyguard squad consists of between 5 and 10 Goshans.
Weapons: Pulse Laser Pistol.
Options: Any model may be given one of the following weapons: Force Halberd (+20 points); Flechette Rifle (+2 points), Power Weapon (+10 points), Power Fist (+20 points).
Up to two models in the squad may be given a Solas Micron Gun (+15 points), Flamer (+6 points), Plasma Gun (+10 points).
The entire squad may be equipped with Personal Gate Generators for +10 points per model.
One model in the squad may be a Battlefield Medic for +10 points (squad ignores first failed armour save per turn).
One model in the squad may be a Battlefield Technician for +10 points (squad may reroll one failed to hit roll).
One model in the squad may be a Musician for +15 points (squad may reroll failed morale saves).
Mentats are Ming battle psykers.
Options: The Mentat may choose equipment from the Armory.
