Khl'hai the Avatar

40K3 conversion by Tom and Erik Setzer; Based on 40K2 background and rules by Mike Freeman

When the Chaos Codex was released, we dicovered that all daemons are not clones of each other, seperate beings with different fighting styles. And since and Avatar is a daemon, why shouldn't it be true for them?? Well i've solved this problem by creating Khl'hai, Avatar of the Craftworld of Khl'ran(by the way, if you have your own craftworld, please mail me any information on it. Maybe in a whil i can somehow manage to post them all up...and interesting archive idea) Anywho, i'll get right to him..or is it a her??

Long ago, around the time of the Fall, the Great Enemy Slaanesh fought and destroyed almost all of the Eldar Gods. But two survived. The Harlequin God, and Khaela Mensha Khaine, the Eldar god of war. Now Khaine was about the only god who could challenge Slaanesh in physical combat, but Slaanesh proved the victor, and Khaine was scattered throughout the galaxy in the forms of Avatars. Each of the Avatars was in effect a mortal manefestation of Khaine himself, perhaps bringing the Eldar salvation. But each of the Avatars was also and individual, representing the different aspects of Khaine. They also say that the Avatar absorbs the traits of it's Craftworld by being connected to Wraithbone core. The Avatar the resides in the Craftworld of Khl'ran has been dubbed "Khl'rai" , or in english, Bloody Death. It is said the Khl'rai is the manefestation of the aspect of Khaine's role as the god of death and destruction, hence the name. And since the Eldar believe that death usually takes the form of a female, the Khl'rai, in an odd twist, takes on a woman form as well. Khl'rai's fighting style and weapons differ than those from other Avatars. For instance, she(although by definition, an Avatar has no gender) is a foot shorter than most Avatars. But she is easily twice as quick, and many times more agile. To suit Khl'rai's fighting style, her Suin Dallea, or Wailing Doom, takes the form of a long scythe. For death is always depicted as carrying such a weapon. She also takes on the traits of the Eldar of Khl'ran, forever thirsting for blood and battle. Over her existance, she has fought in many battles, and taken countless lives, including the life force of the Keeper of Secrets Quelanx. While the closed minded forces of the galaxy may assume that because she is not as big, she is not as deadly. But make no mistake. Fear the one that is called Death.

Fearless, Inspiring, Independent Character, Monstrous Character, Invulnerable, Daemon:  See Codex: Eldar for all of these special rules.

The S'orha

All Avatars have a supernatural weapon called a Suin Dallae, or Wailing Doom. Although it does not always take the form of a sword. For instance, Khl'hais weapon is a great sickle, which symbolizes Death. The name S'orha means "The Darkness". This is a suiting name as it glows with a eeiry black flame. It has the same statistics as a normal Wailing Doom, although because of Khl'hai's unique fighting style, she may use it to parry.

Weapon Range Str. AP Type
S'orha 12" 8 3 Assault 1

Well here's a slight overview of this character. First of all, i included some adaptations of the Avatar rules that were declared later, or i felt should be included (like the Tyranid Weapon thing). Also, i figured that why always have a big Avatar that relied on brute strength. Why not have one with a bit more finesse, but no less deadly.
