The Patriarch is the Primogenitor (the Great Father) of the Cult, the oldest and most powerful of its kind, with a hold over its brood-web of worshippers as strong as steel. Both physically and psychically is the most powerful of its kind, and its human thralls allow it to understand and work against human society.
Weapons: Claws
Options: None.
Chimera: The Patriarch and his retinue may be mounted in a Chimera if it is 11 or less models at an additional cost of +95 points.
Cultist Truck: The squad may be mounted in a Cultist Truck at an additional cost of +40 points.
SPECIAL RULES Independent Character: The Patriarch is an independent character and follows all the special rules as detailed in the Warhammer 40,000 rules. Fearless: Patriarchs never fall back and are assumed to pass any morale checks. The Horror: Any enemy unit that wishes to assault a Patriarch must take a standard Morale check. If the check is failed, the unit will fall back as normal. |
Patriarch's Retinue
Brood: The Retinue consists of 5 to 10 Genestealer Hybrid Neophytes and/or Acolytes. You may combine Neophytes and Acolytes within the same brood. Weapons: Neophytes have a laspistol and close combat weapon. Acolytes have a lasgun. Options: Up to two Hybrids may be armed with one of the following: flamer at +3 points; plasma gun at +5 points; meltagun at +8 points; or a grenade launcher at +12 points. Cult Icon: One Neophyte may be upgraded to Cult Icon Bearer for +10 points. Broods within 12" of the Cult Icon Bearer may re-roll failed Morale checks. |

The Genestealer Magus is almost human looking except for his bald head, his sickly colouring, and his heavy bone structure. He is the Cult's High Priest, and serves the Patriarch by acting as the Cult's figurehead in human society.
Weapons: The Magus is armed with a laspistol.
Options: The Genestealer may be given up to two choices from the Genestealer Cult Weapon List.
Chimera: The Magus and his retinue may be mounted in a Chimera if it is 11 or less models at an additional cost of +95 points.
Cultist Truck: The squad may be mounted in a Cultist Truck at an additional cost of +40 points.

Catalyst: Catalyst can be used on a single brood within 18" of the Magus. Each Brood member gains 1 extra Attack. The Brood may roll 2D6 and choose the best roll when taking armour saves. |

Genestealer Hybrids (Characters)
Hybrids from the leader's retinue may be assigned to Brood Brother squads as leaders. No more than one Hybrid can be assigned to each squad. Once assigned to a squad, the Hybrid may not leave his squad. He is a permanent part of the squad.
