Squat Hearthgaurd Exo-Armoured Squads

If you look closely at the army lists of the various races of 40k, you'll see that almost every army has a sort of heavily armed and armoured Terminator-type squad.(And you Imperial Gaurd guys don't day you don't have one,'cause that's what Ogryns are) Well, the Squats don't. And with the very Terminator-esque Exo Armour, why don't they? Now you do.

Pound for pound, Tactical Dreadnought Armour is the toughest personal armour in the galaxy, excluding getting hooked into a Dreadnought. But, it is closely rivalled by Squat Exo-Armour. The fact that it was not originally designed for battle use, but for mining, is a great testament to the ingenuity of the Squat race. Most often, the armour is worn by high-ranking Squat warriors, such as an Warlord, or Guildmaster. Also, it is common to see the Hearthgaurd wearing it. The Hearthgaurd are an elite cadre of Squats who help other squads, or gaurd their Warlord. But, such limited use of the Exo-Armour is limits is effectiveness, so sometimes members of the Hearthgaurd will join together, where their immense armour and weaponry may be combined to make a devasting combination.

Squad: A squad of Hearthguard consists of 3-5 models.

Weapons: Bolter and power axe.

Options: All models may replace their bolters with Combi weapons at a cost of 15 points per model (see rulebook). Up to two models may replace their bolters with a heavy flamer (+15 points) or a Thunder Cannon (+35 points). You may replace their bolters with bolt pistols for no extra points cost.

Special

Hates Orks and Gretchin: As Squats, Hearthguard hate Orks and Gretchin, and will always hit them on a 3+ in hand to hand combat, regardless of WS.

Squat Thunder Cannon- The Squat Thunder Cannon is aptly named, as when fired, it makes a gigantic rumbling, much like the roar of thunder. The Thunder Cannon was made especially for the Hearthgaurd Squads clad in Exo-Armour, where their wieght and bulk could be compensated. It operates by shooting a massive wave a energy, which throws up the ground, and shreds armour, all at the same time. Becuase it heaves up the ground, any survivors of the initial Thunder Cannon blast are thrown to the ground, and must spend their next movement phase standing up.
