Independent Character: Unless accompanied by a command squad, a Hero is an independent character and follows the independent character special rules in the Warhammer 40,000 rulebook.

Command Squad: The Hero may be accompanied by a Command Squad, see Command Squad entry for details. Note that the Hero and the Command Squad count as a single HQ choice.

Steadfast:  The Heroes are members of the Phoenix Circle and use the Steadfast rules detailed in the Special Rules section of this codex.

 

LIBRARIAN

Space Marine Librarians are trained to make use of their innate psychic powers to unleash devastating attacks on the enemy.

Options: The Librarian can be given any equipment allowed from the Draconians and Space Marine armouries.

Psychic Power - Corruscating Flame:  The Corruscating Flame is a psychic power that may be used in the Shooting Phase.  When used, the Corruscating Flame counts as a weapon with the following profile.  Roll to hit, etc., as normal.

Range: 24" Str: 5 AP 2 Assault 1/Blast

Command Squad: The Librarian may be accompanied by a Command Squad, see Command Squad entry for details. Note that the Librarian and the Command Squad count as a single HQ choice.

Steadfast:  The Librarian is a member of the Phoenix Circle and uses the Steadfast rules detailed in the Special Rules section of this codex.

 

CHAPLAIN

The Chaplains administer the rites of the Chapter, perfrom the ancient ceremonies of Initiation and Vindication, and chant the liturgies of battle as they lead their brothers into war.

Weapons: Crozius arcanum and rosarius (cost of equipment included in Chaplain’s points value).

Options: The Chaplain may be given any equipment allowed from the Draconians or Space Marine Armoury.

CORRUSCATOR SQUAD

Coruscators are Space Marines who are trained to use fire-based attacks, and to accompany and aid the Coruscator Chaplains in their mission of purifying the heretics and alien invaders with the Holy Fire. You must include in your army a Coruscator Chaplain to include any Coruscator squads.

Squad: A Corruscator Squad consists of between five and ten Corruscators.

Weapons: Corruscator (counts as power weapon) and bolt pistol.

Options: Up to two Space Marines in the squad may have a flamer at +3 pts or a meltagun at +10 pts.

The entire squad may be given frag grenades at an additional cost of +1 pt per model and krak grenades at an additional cost of +2 pts per model.

Transport Vehicle:  The entire squad may be mounted in a Rhino at an additional cost of +50 pts or a Razorback at an additional cost of +70 pts (see Transport entry for upgrade options).

Fearless:   The Corruscator Squad is Fearless and uses the Fearless special rules detailed in the Special Rules section of this codex.

Character:  The Corruscator Squad must always be led by a Chaplain.

 

COMMAND SQUAD

You may take a Command Squad to accompany any other HQ.

Squad: The Bodyguard consists of one Space Marine Sergeant and between four and nine Space Marines.

Weapons: Bolter. The Sergeant may exchange his bolter for a bolt pistol and close combat weapon for no extra points cost.

Options: Up to two Space Marines in the squad may have: missile launcher at +20 pts; heavy bolter at +15 pts; lascannon at +35 pts; heavy flamer at +10 pts; flamer at +3 pts; plasma gun at +6 pts; meltagun at +10 pts.

The entire squad may be given frag grenades at an additional cost of +1 pt per model and krak grenades at an additional cost of +2 pts per model.

The Sergeant may be upgraded to a Veteran Sergeat at an additional cost of +14 points.  The Veteran Sergeant may have additional equipment from the Armoury.

Terminator Honours:  If the squad is led by a Veteran Sergeant, then the rest of the squad may have Terminator honours at an additional cost of +10 points per model.

Transport Vehicle:  The entire squad may be mounted in a Rhino at an additional cost of +50 pts or a Razorback at an additional cost of +70 pts (see Transport entry for upgrade options).

CHARACTERS

One model can be upgraded to an Apothecary, one model can be upgraded to a Techmarine, and one model can be upgraded to a Standard Bearer. Any of these can take equipment from the Space Marine and Draconians armouries. The Sergeant can be upgraded to a Veteran Sergeant at an additional cost of 12 pts.

Terminator Honours: If the squad is led by either a Hero, Librarian or Chaplain with Terminator honours and already has a Veteran Sergeant then the rest of the squad may have Terminator honours at an additional cost of +10 pts per model.

Transport vehicle: The entire squad may be mounted in a Rhino (+50 pts), Razorback (+70 pts) or Landraider (250 pts).
