Roh Dallae, The Wings of Doom

40K3 conversion by Tom and Erik Setzer; Based on 40K2 background and rules by Mike Freeman

This is the 5th installment in my Aspect Captain series. An interesting thing is that her name really does mean the Wings of Doom. I took the last part of Barharoth's name and the last part of Suin Dallae, which makes something like her name. I'm not exactly sure of the conjugation though.

In the war-torn 41st Milennium, few troops in any army have the ability to fly. The equipment (sometimes bilogical attachments) is given to a select number of squads who can use it to the maximum ability. One such group are the Swooping Hawks of the Eldar, greatest of the airborn Aspect Warriors.

One Swooping Hawk that has made herself known is Roh Dallae, which means the Wings of Doom. Not trapped on the Warrior path like Exarchs of her Aspect, she remains with her battle brethren to lead them to victory. She is a truly inspiring individual. Her wings are painted a great shade of royal blue, which signals her as the squad's leader. One famous aspect of her arsenal of talents is her incredibal eyesight. She can see many times further than the most sharp eyed of her battle force, so much so that some speculate she has had a bionic implant. Others say the spirit of the Hawk has blessed her. Perhaps for some injustice done to her ancestors in the past, and by giving her this ability, she will be better equipped to extract revenge. This is where she gets her name. For when you see her mighty wings, you know that she will soon extract her revenge.

Special

Squad Captain: Roh always leads a Swooping Hawk Aspect Warrior squad. However, how many Hawks are in this squad is up to you. When taking leadership tests, you use her leadership as she is the leader of the squad.

Gaze of Doom: Roh has incredible vision. So much so that she can see targest even while flying high. This allows her to drop grenades while doing this. When flying high, nominate Roh's target. Roll the artillery dice. If the result comes as a HIT, then she has used her ability to hit her target from high above the earth. For any other result, the template (or grenade) is moved d6 inches away in that direction. She may also shoot her lasgun, but will roll to hit with a BS 3.
