Alaitoc Craftworld

The Alaitoc craftworld relies upon the large number of Rangers who originate from the Craftworld.  These Rangers scout out possible trouble spots, enemy worlds, Maiden Worlds, and scout ahead of the main force in battle.  Alaitoc Rangers are trained to be self-sufficient, to know when and how to fight.  The Alaitoc craftworld relies on its Rangers to give it forward knowledge on locations they are moving toward.

Rangers

Squad: The squad consists of between 5 and 10 models

Weapons: Eldar longrifle (sniper rifle), shuriken pistol and close combat weapon.

Options: The entire squad may be given frag grenades at a cost of 1 pt. per model, krak grenades at a cost of +2 pts. per model, and/or melta bombs at +5 pts. per model.

SPECIAL RULES

Infiltators:  In the right circumstances Rangers have the ability to work their way into a forward position on the battlefield.  To represent this they may set up using the Infiltrators rule, but only if the mission allows Infiltrators to be used.  If the mission does not allow troops to use the Infiltrators rule then the Rangers must set up normally with the rest of the army.

Difficult Terrain: Rangers are not affected by Difficult Terrain and may move their full move through Difficult Terrain.

Killer Shot: Rangers are excellent at targetting weak spots in their enemy's armour.  If a Ranger rolls a 6 to hit, its longrifle counts as having AP1.

Cameoline Cloaks: Rangers wear special Cameoline Cloaks that help them blend in with their surroundings.  These cloaks give them a 5+ cover save.

Combat Sling: Rangers use a special combat sling that allows them to quickly drop their longrifle and let it hang from their shoulder while they pull out their close assault weapons.  In close combats the Rangers may use both of their close assault weapons, giving them +1 attack as normal.
