Maes of the Deathwing

Submitted by GW Fanatic

During the assault of Caliban, Maes was a part of the Deathwing sent to destroy the genestealer invasion. He became seperated from his unit while chasing a creature he believed to be the Patriarch. He followed the strange creature through a portal and found himself on a strange desolate place. Standing out on the barren desert in his huge white terminator armour, the Dark Angels were quick to notice him on the planet after hearing stories of a stragne white giant wandering through the desert.
The Dark Angels began to question Maes and soon found that he had actually been a part of the "Cleansing of Caliban". Many of the Dark Angels look upon Maes with great suspicion (giving reason to the low strategy rating) not quite understanding how he came to join them in the present day.

Sword of the Fray: Close Combat only. S7/-4 Save/d3 dam. The was created during the thousands of years ago by a strange artificer during the "Age of Strife" and is made of a strange alien metal that is extremely light. The sword was presented to Maes by the artificer as a gift. Because of this and the extra length of the sword it gives the bearer +1 I and +1 WS against all charging opponents.

Page Supervisor's notes: This is GW Fanatic's version of a Deathwing special character, and its background is also his version to fit his conversion for this character. This is just one more example of how you can change around the history and/or organization of different chapters to fit your own view of them, and make something unique that is yours alone.
