The Fiann societies make up the standing army of the Ard Rhiad


The Fianna of the Ard Rhi of Inisfail is made up of several Fiann societies. These are the Fianns who protect the Realm. They patrol the Bawn, and garrison entries to the Webways, they are the defenders of the Realm and the Ard Rhi. The Fianns are professional soldiers who have devoted their lives to the Way of their society.

Wargear List
As per the Eldar Codex, excluding laspistol and lasgun, as they are not used by the Fianns.

Army Selection

Characters 50% Up to half of the armt may be chosen from the Characters section of the army list.
Squads 25%+ At least a quarter of your points must be chosen from the Squads section of the army list. You may spend more if you wish.
Support 50% Up to half of the points value of the army may be chosen from the Support section of the army list.
Harlequins 25% Up to 25% of an Inisfail army may consist of Harlequins.

The Inisfail Fianna must be commanded by either an Ard Fiann, Rhi, Rhianna, or Ard Rhi and/or Ard Rhianna.

Armour: Rune Armour (4+ unmodified save)

Wargear: The Ard Fiann may be given up to three wargear cards. The Ard Fiann may be given additional equipment chosen from the Armour, Assault weapons, Special weapons, and Grenades section of the wargear list.

Fiann Lords.................................52

These are the leaders of the individual Fiann units on the battlefield. For each Fiann unit, you may include up to one Fiann Lord of the correct type.

Armour: Fiann Mithril armour (3+ save).

Wargear: A Fiann Lord may be given up to two Wargear cards.

A Fiann Lord may be given additional equipment from the Exarch Wargear (he may only choose wargear that fits his Fiann society), Assault Weapons, Special Weapons and Grenades sections of the Eldar Wargear list.

Special: A Fiann Lord may be given up to two special Exarch warrior powers as described in Codex: Eldar. The points cost for these is summarised on the Eldar Wargear list.

0-1 Ard Draoi......................172 points

Ard Draoi are the leaders of the magic colleges and are the most powerful of the Draoi. Ard Draoi are not army leaders. They are users of msytic/psionic power.

Special: An Ard Draoi is a psyker with a mastery level of 4. Ard Draoi may use Farseer Only psychic powers and Farseer Only Wargear cards.

Special: Draoi are powerful psykers with the following levels of master. Draoi - mastery level 1; Draoi Champion - mastery level 2; Draoi Master - mastery level 3.

Olaavs.............................79 points

Olaavs travel with the Fianns when they go to war, and inspire them with their songs and heroic stanzas.

Wargear: An Olaav may take up to two wargear cards. An Olaav may take additional weapons from the Armour, Assault Weapons, Special weapons, and Grenades section of the wargear list.

Special: Any Eldar squad within 8" of an Olaav may take all Ld-based rolls by rolling 3d6 and choosing the best two.

Healer..............................53 points

Healers are a special society of the Draoi that devote theirselves to the healing arts.

Armour: Mesh (5+ save), Holo-Suit

Wargear: An Healer may take up to two wargear cards. An Healer may take additional weapons from the Armour, Assault Weapons, Special weapons, and Grenades section of the wargear list.

Special: Healing Ablity - A Healer may attempt to heal one Eldar per turn. To use the healing ability, the Healer must move into base-to-base contact with the Eldar to be healed during his own turn, and must remain there through the shooting phase and close combat phases doing nothing else. At the end of the CC phase the Healer may do one of the following:

1 Restore 1 wound to a wounded but still living character.
2 Restore a model reduced to 0 wounds to 1 wound on a roll of 5 or 6 on a d6.
3 Restore the vision of any blinded model.
4 Cure the effects of any non-fatal gas type.
5 Negate any psychological effects in a model.

As per the Eldar Codex.

Harlequins
Harlequins may be included as per the Eldar Codex.

The special characters of the Eldar Codex are only available as allies. The Avatar is only available in an allied force.
