Conal has devoted his life to his people and their defense, he is a close friend to Almar, and fights at his side when the troops of Almaren go to battle. He has a strong hatred for the Fomori (Chaos). When he was a small child, the Fomor raided Dun Leath, and murdered all of his family, leaving Conal for dead. When he returned to consciousness several days later, he swore revenge on all Fomor.
Conal actively searches out Fomori to destroy and he has volunteered to accompany many Fiann raiding forces striking at Fomori bases to keep them from building up enough force to invade the Realm. His reputation is such that he and the Wolf Swords are feared by all Fomori. The story of this enemy of Chaos has spread throughout the Fomori.
