Armour: Flak (6+ save/5+ against blast).

Special: A squad may be raised to Veteran status by choosing 1 Veteran ability from the Veteran List at the points cost indicated.

Expert Horsemen: Attilans can ride a weaving pattern toward the enemy that will make them -1 to the enemy's to hit roll. They may also make a special attack where they charge toward the enemy and at the last moment veer away while firing their weapons at the enemy at point-blank range. They may make a full charge move as long as at least half of the move is toward the enemy. The rest of the move must be directly away from the enemy. They will end their move back in the general area they started, facing toward the enemy.

Blood Standard: Attilans carry a special standard into battle called the Blood Standard, this is a standard that has been dipped in the blood of the Attilans' fallen comrades. This standard can be given to any or all Attilan squads including Command Squads for a cost of 10 points per squad. Any squad carrying the Blood Standard into battle may add +1 to their hand to hand combat score.

Keshik Turghaut Squads..................155 points

These are Attilans who ride especially large and fierce warhorses and both rider and horse are armoured with carapace armour. These come from amongst the petty khans and their sons, and they form an elite group of units. Keshik Turghaut squads may only be taken as additional units

Mangudai are mounted grenadiers. They specialize in throwing grenades at the enemy and dashing back to safety.

Squad: A squad consists of 9 Gaurdsmen and a Sergeant.

Weapons: Lasgun, sword and frag grenades. The sergeant has a laspistol, sword and frag grenades.

Armour: Flak (6+ save).

Wargear: Any model may be armed with additional equipment chosen from the Assault Weapons section of the Wargear list.

The entire squad may be armed with krak grenades at a cost of +3 points per model.

One Guardsman may exchange his lasgun for a weapon from the Special Weapons section of the Wargear list.

Two of the Guardsmen may form a weapons team. A weapons team is given an additional heavy weapon from the Heavy Weapons section of the Wargear list. Note that if a firer model does not include a lasgun it is assumed he has swapped his weapon for a laspistol.

Special: A Squad may be given 1 Veteran ability chosen from the Veteran List at the points cost indicated.

Heavy Weapons Squads.........................................................66 points

A Heavy Weapons squad consists of 6 Guardsmen organised into three weapons teams.

Armour: Flak (6+ save/5+ against blast).

Wargear: The unit is formed into 3 weapons teams and given weapons from the Heavy Weapons section of the Wargear list. Firer models not carrying lasguns are assumed to be carrying laspistols instead.

Special: A Heavy Weapons Squad may be raised to Veteran status by choosing 1 Veteran ability from the Veteran Abilities list at the points costs indicated.

The squad may be mobilised by including a Chimera infantry fighting vehicle at a cost of 140 points.Note that the Chimera has a separate crew of three Guardsmen armed with laspistols and wearing Flak armour. See the Datafax for details of further options and costs.The Chimera is included in the army as part of the squad, however it can operate entirely independently of its squad during the battle. Veteran upgrades do not affect the Chimera or its crew.

 

Leman Russ.....................................205 points

The Leman Russ is the chief battle tank of the Imperial Guard.  Each individual Leman Russ tank can be included in an Armour Platoon as a regimental unit or in an Infantry Platoon as an additional unit.

Leman Russ Demolisher.....................................190 points + cost of variable sponson armament

The Leman Russ Demolisher siege tank carries the short but highly destructive Demolisher cannon.  Each individual Leman Russ Demolisher tank can be included in an Armour Platoon as a regimental unit or in an Infantry Platoon as an additional unit.

Griffon.....................................140 points

The Griffon is an armoured weapons carrier equipped with the deadly heavy mortar.   It is an invaluable part of the Imperial Guard mobile artillery reserve.  Individual Griffons can be included in an Armour Platoon as regimental units or in an Infantry Platoon as additional units in the same way as Leman Russ tanks.

Chimera...................................140 points

The Chimera is the Imperial Guard's most commonly used armoured troop carrier and infantry squads, as described above, individual Chimeras can be included in an Armour Platoon as regimental units or in an Infantry Platoon as additional units in the same way as Leman Russ tanks.

Basilisk....................................175 points

The Basilisk is a mobile artillery platform.  It is used to soften up the enemy's defences from long range prior to an assault, or to hit his reserves before they have time to mobilise.  Individual Basilisks can be included in an Armour Platoon as regimental units or in an Infantry Platoon as additional units in the same way as Leman Russ tanks.

Hellhound.................................165 points

The Hellhound is a close assault flame-thrower vehicle designed to flush out enemy infantry from dense terrain and urban combat zones.  Individual Hellhounds can be included in an Armour Platoon as regimental units or in an Infantry Platoon as additional units in the same way as Leman Russ tanks.

Special: The Hellhound causes fear as described in the Warhammer 40,000 rulebook.

Sentinel Squadron..............75 points per Sentinel

The Sentinel is a lightly armoured one-man scout and insurgency vehicle.   Sentinels are small vehicles and fight in squadrons as described in the Dark Millenium supplement.  Squadrons of Sentinels can be included as additional units.   A squadron consists of 1 and 3 individual vehicles.
